Privacy Policy

What Nirbhul collects, why, how it is kept safe, and how to delete it. Written plainly, with nothing hidden in clauses.

Effective: 12 August 2026 Last updated: 18 August 2026 Applies to: the Nirbhul Android app and nirbhul.com

Who we are

Nirbhul is a question bank and model test app for HSC and university admission preparation in Bangladesh. This policy covers the Nirbhul Android app and this website. For anything in it, write to hello@nirbhul.com — that address is read by the people who build the app, not a ticket queue. The rules for using the app itself are in the Terms and Conditions.

Short version: we collect what your account and your practice history need, we keep it secure, we do not sell it, and we do not show ads. You can delete your account and everything in it from inside the app.

What we collect

What we do not collect

The absence is worth as much as the list:

Why we collect it

Nothing is collected for any purpose beyond these.

How your data is handled

Your data is stored securely and used only to run Nirbhul for you. We do not sell it, rent it, or trade it, and there is no advertising anywhere in the app.

A small number of trusted providers help us run the service. They may handle your data only to provide that service to us, never for their own purposes, and some of that happens on servers outside Bangladesh. Apart from them, we share your data only where the law requires it, or where it is needed to deal with fraud, abuse of the service, or a threat to someone's safety.

Notifications

Notifications are yours to allow or refuse, and the app works either way. We use them for exam reminders, practice nudges, and announcements. You can turn them off at any time in the app under Settings → Reminders, or in your phone's settings, and nothing else changes when you do.

How long we keep it

Your choices and your rights

Students under 18

Nirbhul is built for HSC and admission candidates, so many of the people using it are under 18. That shapes what the app does: no advertising, no sale of personal data, no sharing with data brokers, and no tracking of you across other apps or websites.

The app is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly create accounts for them. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child under 13 has an account, email hello@nirbhul.com and we will delete it and its data.

Security

Your data is protected on its way to us and while we hold it, and your account is reachable only by you. We keep it that way as a matter of course, not as a promise made once.

No system is perfect, and we will not pretend otherwise. If we ever discover a problem that affects your personal data, we will tell the people it affects and act on it.

Changes to this policy

If what we collect changes, this page changes first, and the "Last updated" date at the top changes with it. For a change that materially affects you, we will also tell you in the app or by email. Continuing to use Nirbhul after a change means you accept the updated policy.

Contact

Questions, complaints and data requests: hello@nirbhul.com. We are based in Bangladesh, and this policy is governed by the laws of Bangladesh.

Common questions

Do you sell my data or show me ads?

No to both. There is no advertising in the app, and no one receives your data for their own marketing.

Can I use the app without giving my phone number and college?

Yes. Everything on the profile screen beyond the account itself is optional. The app works with all of it blank.

What happens to my practice history if I delete my account?

It is deleted with the account after the 30-day grace period, and it cannot be recovered afterwards. See the account deletion page.

Why was I signed out when I opened the app on another phone?

An account can be signed in on a limited number of phones at once. When you sign in on one more than that, the device you have not used for the longest is signed out. Nothing is lost — your practice history belongs to your account, not to the handset.

Can I still use Nirbhul on my phone and my tablet?

Yes. The limit is on how many are signed in at the same time, not on which ones. Signing out on a device you no longer use frees its place immediately.

Does the app track my location?

No. The app never asks for location and does not collect it.
