Delete from inside the app
- Open Nirbhul and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Go to Profile → Settings.
- Tap Delete account. The screen shows what you are about to lose — your answers, sessions, streak and saved questions, counted.
- Confirm with Yes, delete it. Your deletion request is recorded straight away.
Deletion is not instant. The request starts a 30-day grace period. During those 30 days you can sign in and cancel the request, and nothing is lost. After 30 days the account and its data are erased, and that cannot be undone.
If you cannot sign in
If you have lost access to the account, email hello@nirbhul.com from the email address the account was created with, and say you want the account deleted. We use that address to confirm the account is yours — we cannot delete an account on the word of someone we cannot identify. Requests are actioned within 30 days, and the same 30-day grace period applies from the day we record the request.
What gets deleted
When the grace period ends, all of this is erased:
- Your account and sign-in — email, password or linked Google account.
- Your name, profile photo, date of birth, gender, phone number and address.
- Your academic profile — institution, department, batch, field of study, SSC roll, registration number, board and year, optional subject.
- Your entire practice history — every answer, practice session, model test attempt, score and statistic built from them.
- Bookmarks, saved questions, questions you flagged, and any note you sent with a report.
- Your streak, daily targets and target university.
- Your notification token, so the device stops receiving push notifications.
What is kept, and why
- Payment records. If you bought a plan, the record of that transaction — the bKash transaction ID, the amount and the date — is kept as the record of a purchase. It is detached from your profile and is not used to contact you or to build anything about you.
- Crash reports and analytics events already collected. These carry no name, email or phone number. They age out under the retention periods our analytics provider applies, and are never joined back to a new account.
- Anything the law requires us to retain, for as long as it requires it, and no longer.
Before you go
If the app is only sending you too many notifications, you do not have to delete anything — turn them off under Settings → Reminders in the app, or in Android's app settings, and your history stays where it is. A deleted practice history cannot be rebuilt; a notification setting can be flipped back in a second.
Questions
Can I cancel a deletion request?
Yes, at any point during the 30-day grace period. Sign in and cancel it from the same screen. Nothing is deleted until the 30 days are up.
What happens to a plan I have already paid for?
Deleting your account ends the plan with it. Time remaining on a paid plan is not refunded on deletion and cannot be moved to another account, so use it or cancel the request before the 30 days end.
Can I get my practice history back after deletion?
No. Once the grace period ends the data is erased, and there is no copy to restore from. Creating a new account with the same email starts from zero.
Does uninstalling the app delete my account?
No. Uninstalling removes the app from your phone; your account and data stay on our servers until you delete the account.
